Wisconsin Mud Bog Video

About a month ago I went to an informal mud bog to film a friend’s truck in action.  Here’s a collection of some of the video clips I shot while watching everyone get muddy!

Out with the old, in with the new!

About a month back, I sold my 1989 Jeep Cherokee. It was fine for off-road duty, and served me well in the winter months, but I wanted something I could do more with in the future. That, and the fact it was basically a two-seater kinda sucked if I wanted to drive the kids around!

It’s taken a few late nights, and some swearing at rusty parts, but the latest acquisition is almost ready to come home! The new off-road ride here at ServerUnderground will be a 1995 Jeep Wrangler, with the 2.5L four-cylinder, 5-speed manual transmission, NP231 transfer case, and stock Dana 30 and 35 axles. I did keep the Cooper Discoverer STT 31″x10.5″ tires from the Cherokee, and have them on the Wrangler right now.

First order of business will be to get the rear brakes fixed. Right now the Wrangler only has the two front brakes working, thanks to rotted rear lines. After the brakes are done, we’ll have to address the lack of suspension lift so my tires don’t rub all over the fenders and body.

I’m looking forward to playing around with my new toy! Looking forward to warmer weather, and driving around with no top!

Badlands off-road park video

The following videos are from my recent trip to the Badlands off-road park in Attica, IN.  Had a great time with friends from a little further up north in Wisconsin.  Enjoy the videos!

These first four videos are of the footage captured while the camera was mounted inside my Jeep Cherokee:

These last three videos were shot while I was on foot with the camera, getting up close and personal with some of the other Jeeps:

These videos were shot with a Canon HF100 high-definition recorder, set for auto white balance and recording in SP mode (7Mbit/s AVCHD video). They all look pretty good through YouTube when you view them in 720p mode!

Enjoy!
