I was cruising around some of my favorite sites this evening, and landed on the Slackware Linux homepage to check out what’s been going on with my favorite Linux distro. Lo and behold, on July 9th of this year, it was announced that there would be an official port of Slackware to the ARM architecture!
So, not only do we have Slackware Linux for 32-bit x86 and 64-bit x86, we also have official support for the IBM S/390 platform and now ARM!
Hats off to Stuart Winter for all his work putting together the required bits for ARM, and to the Slackware team for giving us such a great platform to work from.
